Parley / Personal API guide
The models you trust.
Your own configuration.
Personal API mode requires a Parley account and a 95.00 USD one-time software licence. Once the purchase is active, switch to “Own API” in the app to select a provider, model, and API key. Wallet top-ups pay for Parley’s managed service and do not unlock personal API configuration.
In personal API mode, the desktop app connects to the provider using your credentials. You pay provider usage directly. The 95.00 USD licence does not include those charges or add Parley wallet credit.
- Open the account purchase page, sign in with your phone or Google, and check that the account matches your desktop app. Choose “Personal API licence” and scan with WeChat Pay or Alipay. Confirm that the account shows an active licence.
- Choose the same provider as in your app. Use its official console to register, enable the required service permissions, and configure billing.
- Create an API key. Qwen also requires a workspace and region; the key, workspace, and region must match.
- Refresh your account in the app, switch to “Own API”, enter your credentials and provider settings, save, and select a compatible built-in voice.
- Check your audio devices and languages before starting a short session. Usage may incur provider charges. If connection fails, check permissions, balance, credentials, and region.
